“Dad…please wake up. Dad…dad…daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad!!!” I screamed to the heavens. My dad…was dead. I guess I should explain everything from the beginning. First off, my name is Pyro, and I’m a Charmeleon. I live on a large island called Draconia, which is home mainly to many Dragon-type and dragon related Pokemon. My mom and dad, Chara and Pyris, moved here a long time ago and had me, there only son. My dad was always adventurous and he always try to find an excuse to go on one. I was only a Charmander when my mom noticed I was copying him. I too haad his spirit for adventure.
My time growing up was rather good. I had quite a few friends: Venus the Treecko (she’s a Grovyle now and my best friend), Drake the Dragonair (He’s a Dragonite now) and Titanis the Bagon (he recently became a Salamence). These 3 were my closest friends. We attended battle classes together to learn the basic moves our species can do. Venus was always one who hangs with the big boys, and she always beats every male in our class in a foot race. Drake hopes to be a scholar and is quite the brainiac, but he also is good in a battle. Titanis, well, he’s a bit of a hothead since he sees Drake as his rival. It doesn’t take much to set him off. As for myself, I’m more of the laid back type who does things at his own pace…though I love to go off on an adventure.
Draconia is a well respected place, and its home to our Dragon Counsel. They are like the tribunal here. My dad was appointed to they’re charter a few years back due to his help in the Great Pokemon War that engulfed the mainland many years ago. I wasn’t born at the time, but it was really terrible. If my dad and a few other heroes didn’t stop it, many, many lives would have been lost. Recently one of the Grand Elder dragons, a Rayquaza name Draco, felt Draconia needed to be a force of power since dragons are highly revered, but though he was an elder dragon, he’s usually respected, but why he thinks Draconia needed to be a force of power was really worrisome. But Rubias, and elder Palkia, thinks otherwise and believed Draconia should maintain its image of peace. For weeks Draco questioned the charter. Even Saphiro, an elder Dialga, sided with Rubias. The elder Giratina, Shadow, was torn between the 2 sides, so he remained neutral on the matter. My dad who was named t the elders gave the vote to keep Draconia’s peace. This didn’t sit well for Draco.
One day my dad took me and my class to the Museum of Draconian. We learned of the heritage of dragons from many years ago when the first Great Pokemon War took place. A powerful Charizard from thousands of years ago named Osiris called upon the great Zekrom name Orabas, and a Reshiram name Shira. The two were able to put an end to the war with the help of Osiris and brought balance back to the world. They soon disappeared after that and haven’t been seen since. We came to a stone tablet that my dad showed us. He told us that the essence of Osiris lay in it and that one day the tablet will bestow upon the worthy great power, so the legend goes. I looked at the tablet and had wondered what it was like when those 2 dragons were among those of the past, and that of the legendary hero.
Suddenly we heard a loud bang. We saw a bunch of jeweled-eyed Pokemon in staggering numbers surround everyone. Panic ensued as my dad try to calm the crowd. There was another loud bang and to our shock, we saw Draco. He tooled the stone tablet. “Draco, what in the name of Arceus are you doing?!”, yelled my dad. “You poor diluted fool. Do you not know that great power is in this slab of rock? I will show the others that Draconia will be a place of power!” He leaves. “Stop! I knew something about him was wrong.” “Mr. Pyris. You go on ahead. We’ll take care of these weirdoes.”, yelled Venus. My dad agreed and he pursued Draco.
Minutes later we took down the Pokemon. I wan out the museum. Venus called out to me. “Pyro, where are you going?” “I gotta go help my dad. We need to bring that tablet back to the museum.” I ran off. I didn’t know where my dad was, but I kept searching. It began to rain, and I looked up, and saw a Flamethrower smacking into a Hyper Beam. It was my dad. I quickly ran to the where the fight was. Minutes later I found my dad on the ground. Draco, floating barely above ground, was standing proud. “You insolent fool. Do you not see this tablet is the key to Draconia’s future?” “It’s just a rock Draco. Why…do you want a piece of rock?” “Oh Pyris, your so blind. But, you seen too much. So I‘ll put you out so you‘ll never tell what happened here.” Noooooooooo!” I yelled and ran to my dad’s side. “You’re not laying a claw on my dad.” “Pyro…get outta here.” “No dad. Your badly hurt. Draco, how dare you. Your suppose to be an elder dragon.” “What’s this? A whelpling’s telling me who I am? Your as diluted as your old man. I’ll take you both down.” “Oh no you won’t!”, I yelled and jumped at him. I used my Metal Claw and pierced the tablet. Suddenly there was a bright light. “What?!”, yelled Draco and the tablet shattered. I fell to the ground. “The tablet of Osiris…destroyed…by you?! I’ll make you pay!” “No Draco. It’s over.” Shadow appeared as well as Saphiro and Rubias. “You called yourself an elder, yet you do this?”, said Rubias. “We of the counsel strip you of the title Grand Dragon Elder Draco.”, said Saphiro. They chained him up. “You can’t do this to me! I’ll get even with you all!” He was taken away by the royal guards.
I was able to get to my dad. He had lost a lot of blood. “Well son, looks like my tale ends here…” “Don’t say that dad. You’ll have a lot more adventures.” I clinched his claw. “No…I had a feeling when I tooked on Draco I would loose. And…” “Don’t say that dad. The counsel will see he’s brought to justice.”, I said. “Pyro…I knew you would be strong…but now, you’re a lot stronger. Your tale will begin…from here. Tell your mom…I love her…” “Dad…your gonna make it.” I said. He didn’t answer. “Dad…please wake up. Dad…dad…daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad!!!” I screamed to the heavens. My dad…was dead. Seconds later I heard coughing. “I’m…not dead yet…but if your mom learns of this…I will be…” He chuckled. “Dad! Your still okay.” My friends soon came and with the help of the elders, we were able to take my dad to the hospital. Unknowing to me, things were going to get hectic for me from here on out.
