Bayleef it

Rain, Ariel, and I made our way to a leafy field. With Sandy Beach behind us we wouldn’t have noticed the smell of salt water from the fragrant smell of wild flowers. “So…where to boys?” asked Ariel. Rain and I looked at each other dumbfounded. “You mean you don’t know where your going?” “Well, adventurers travel to wherever the wind takes them.” said Rain. “And I suppose that means you have no clue where your going…” Rain felt a bit awkward. “Well, my dad always says when going on an adventure, its safe to plan your route.” I said. “Well, luckily I have a map with me.” Ariel pulls out the map from her backpack. “It lists the places in all of Pokellon from the beauty that is Sandy Beach to the lush green fields of Greenland. Hmm…the route we’re going will take us to Black Forest.” “Black Forest?” “Well Pyro, Black Forest is a pretty dense forest. Nocturnal Pokemon make they’re home there and mistakenly think its night.” said Ariel. “How long will it take us to cross it?” ask Rain. “Half an hour at best. Well boys, let’s get a move on.” And so we went on our way.

As we walked we were hearing someone singing…sort of. It was more of a humming. “You hear that? Sounds like someone’s nearby.” I said. “Yeah…and doesn’t it smell more…heavenly here?” asked Rain. “Hmm…the smell is coming from…over where those wild flowers are. I can also hear that humming coming from over there.” said Ariel. So we decided to go investigate. As we approached, we spotted a green Pokemon with a leaf on its head and closed pedals around its neck. “Hey, it’s a Bayleef.” said Rain. The Bayleef looked at us. “Oh…can I help you?” The 3 of us looked at each other. “Oh…um, we were passing through, and wee heard someone humming and smelt something really good.” I said. “Oh, that was me. We Bayleef give off a pleasant scent from our leaves. I’m Serena, and you are?” “Well, I'm Pyro and these are my friends Ariel and Rain. We’re on an adventure and are heading for Black Forest.” “Black Forest? Sounds fun. My family lives close by the path there. I’ll be more than happy to take you guys there. Follow me.” Serena got up and lead us on.

Meanwhile somewhere in a dark land Draco, in his tower, was watching the land. “Hmm…I was so close to acquiring the power of Osiris. I’m sure word of my escape has reach Draconia by now…and the counsel has make sure to make the preparations. The 2 powerful dragons who were of the Old Order: the Zekrom known as Orabas and the Reshiram known as Shira…they bestow Osiris great power to end the first Great Pokemon War. No one but me know that the 2 dragons also have descendants…yet they lay in slumber: Shira the Reshiram, named after her great ancestor from a thousand years ago…and Odin the Zekrom, name for the god of thunder. Those 2 have no idea of they’re connection to the past…but, there was a third…the one named-.” A Sableye came into his chambers. “Your Excellency, our spies have good news. They found out the Charmeleon you seek was last seen at Sandy Beach on Pokellon…but then they lost track of him.” “So…he’s on he continent. Has the Shadow hollow clan arrived?” “Yes. They’re ready for they’re orders.” “Good. Hehehe….hahahahaaaa!”

As we walked Serena was humming again. “Ok, we’re almost to my home.” We saw a rather large tree. “Well, here we are.” We saw 3 Meganium. “Mom, dad, Serena’s back.” “Hi honey!” yelled the other 2 Meganium. “Hi mom, dad, and Megan.” We went over to greet ourselves. “Everyone, these are my new friends Ariel, Rain, and Pyro. Guys, meet my parents and my oldest sister Megan.” We went inside the tree home, which was surprisingly roomy. “I never been inside of a tree house…well, a house that is really a tree.” said Rain. “It’s a pleasure to meet you all, especially our daughter’s guy.” said Serena’s mom. “Huh?” said all 3 of us. “Now don’t play coy with us. Our Serena’s been telling us to expect her boyfriend to come soon.” said her dad. Ariel, Rain, and I looked confused. “Well, the penguin’s cute, but I believe it’s the lizard my sister has fallen for.” said Megan. We were shocked. “Uh, I hate to say it, but-.” Serena grabbed the 3 of us with her Vine Whip. “Sorry, but I like to talk to my friends in private.” She dragged us outside. “That’s our little Serena.” said Serena’s dad.

So now we were outside of Serena’s home and she unwrapped us. “Okay Serena, why do your folks think I’m your boyfriend?” I asked. “Well…I kinda told them that I had one…” We looked at each other. “So why lie to them?” asked Rain. “My sister has one, a Tropius name Chad. The 2 of them loved each other, and it made me want a boyfriend too. I also like to go out on an adventure of my own, but my dad told me I can’t go alone. So…” “And so you made up the story that you had a boyfriend and your family wants to meet him.” said Ariel. Serena nodded, and I walked over to her. “You’ll have to tell them the truth soon you know.” She nodded again, and we went back inside. Night soon came and Ariel whipped up a fantastic meal for us. “Ok, Volcano Vegiburgers for me and Pyro, Fish A La Mode for Rain, and Variety Salads for the Meganium family. Eat up everyone.” So we got to eating. “So Pyro, you plan on marrying my daughter?” I nearly choked on my food. “Say what?!” “My little girl’s a catch and I know it.” “Yep. We’ll be hoping for plenty of grandchildren from you two.” I nearly choked again. “With all do respect sir, I'm-.” “Oh, so you don't plan on marrying her? Were you here just so you can dump her? Is that it?” “Whoa whoa, you got it all wrong, I'm-.” “Dad, wait! There’s something I want to say.” And Serena explained the truth to her family.

After dinner I went outside and sat down. I looked at the stars. Serena’s dad did apologize to me. I heard the door open and Serena came out. “Well, my dad’s real apologetic isn’t he?” I nodded. “Pyro, I just want to say-.” “Hey, think nothing of it. Why don’t we go get some sleep? Tomorrow you can take us to Black Forest.” She nodded and we went back inside. The next morning Ariel, Rain, and I were packed and ready to go. “Well, I'll lead them to the forest, then I’ll come back.” “Serena, wait a moment. Go with them.” “Huh? What did you say daddy?” “I want you to go with them. Pyro, Ariel, and Rain look like nice Pokemon, and will watch you.” “Really? Oh, thank you daddy.” She gave him a hug. “Of course, its up to them.” “Oh, we don't mind another, don't we?” “Nope.” said Ariel. “Not at all.” said Rain. “Serena, we know you’ll do okay out there, especially with your new friends with you.” said Serena’s mom. “And I’m sorry if my relationship with Chad made you want a boyfriend of your own little sister.” “It’s okay Megan.” After her mom gives her a backpack of her own, the 4 of us now went on our way to Black Forest. “I think that Pyro would still be perfect for our little girl, don’t you think?” asked Serena’s mom. “Yep. He'll be a great boyfriend to her.” said Serena’s dad as Megan chuckles. I sneezed. Serena laughs a bit as we continued with our adventure, with our new pal Serena.
